  • 1 block of extra-firm tofu, cubed
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 carrot, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving
  • Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish


  1. Press the tofu to remove excess water and cut it into cubes.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the tofu cubes and cook until they are golden brown on all sides. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add a bit more oil if needed and sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.
  5. Add all the vegetables and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes or until they are tender-crisp.
  6. Return the cooked tofu to the pan and pour the sauce over everything. Stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
