  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together egg yolks and sugar until well combined and creamy.
  3. Add softened mascarpone cheese to the egg mixture and mix until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well incorporated.
  6. Pour half of the mascarpone mixture over the layer of ladyfingers in the dish.
  7. Arrange another layer of soaked ladyfingers on top of the mascarpone mixture.
  8. Pour the remaining mascarpone mixture over the second layer of ladyfingers.
  9. Cover and refrigerate the tiramisu for at least 4 hours or preferably overnight.
  10. Before serving, dust the top with unsweetened cocoa powder.
