  • 2 racks of baby back ribs
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Start by removing the membrane from the back of the ribs for maximum tenderness.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper to create a dry rub.
  3. Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.
  4. Prepare your smoker with wood chips and preheat it to 225°F (107°C).
  5. Place the ribs on the smoker grate and smoke for about 3-4 hours, or until they reach an internal temperature of 190°F (88°C).
  6. During the last 30 minutes of smoking, baste the ribs with a mixture of BBQ sauce and apple cider vinegar for a sticky, sweet glaze.
