Choco-Hazelnut Crepes

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup chopped hazelnuts
  • Nutella or chocolate spread for filling
  • Whipped cream and extra chopped hazelnuts for topping


  1. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk until you have a smooth batter.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter.
  5. Pour a small ladleful of the batter into the skillet and swirl it around to spread evenly.
  6. Cook for about 2 minutes or until the edges start to lift. Flip the crepe and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  7. Remove the crepe from the skillet and spread a generous amount of Nutella or chocolate spread over it.
  8. Sprinkle some chopped hazelnuts on top.
  9. Roll up the crepe and serve it with a dollop of whipped cream and extra chopped hazelnuts.
  10. Repeat the process with the remaining batter.
