Ingredients

  • 1 block of extra-firm tofu
  • 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup of nutritional yeast
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1 tsp of onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp of paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray or oil for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Press the tofu to remove excess water, then cut it into bite-sized nuggets.
  3. In a bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Coat each tofu nugget with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing it onto the tofu to adhere.
  5. Place the coated nuggets on the prepared baking sheet and lightly spray them with cooking spray or drizzle with oil.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping the nuggets halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
