  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until they’re tender.
  4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ziti pasta, meat sauce, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese. Mix well.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a 9×13-inch baking dish and cover it with aluminum foil.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Sprinkle the chopped fresh parsley over the baked ziti before serving.
