Ingredients

  • 1 block of extra-firm tofu, cubed

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Press tofu to remove excess moisture, then cube it.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and vegetable broth to make the stir-fry sauce.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add tofu cubes and cook until golden brown on all sides. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and grated ginger. Sauté for a minute until fragrant.
  5. Add broccoli florets and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they turn bright green and slightly tender.
  6. Return the tofu to the skillet and pour the stir-fry sauce over everything. Stir well to coat and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions if desired.
