  5. Use an immersion blender to puree the soup until smooth. If you don’t have an immersion blender, carefully transfer the soup to a blender in batches and blend until smooth, then return it to the pot.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with a drizzle of cream and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon.
